One of my latest recordings, the Impressions compositions, were inspired in the public art pieces found all around the town of Santo Tirso.

SantoTirso Impressions 

With Santo Tirso Impressions, Oscar Flecha has built a sound imagery inspired by several locations around the city of that name, bringing together diverse aesthetics in a harmonious coexistence, through various electrical and acoustic textures. Impressions is made up of seven contrasting pieces.

It pays tribute to the city that hosts the International Guitar Festival, which he has mentored and conducted since its first edition.

Impression V

Shaped from the haunting sounds captured by the Cassini space probe while it orbited Saturn, Fifth Impression unfolds as a four-part sonic journey:

Part I : Out there

Part II : Storm

Part III : Aurora

Part IV : Interference

The work is also deeply influenced by Ascensión, Julio Le Parc's iconic sculpture in Santo Tirso, echoing its sense of elevation, movement, and luminous presence.
